I decided to try this new high protein diet after a visit to my chiropractor. Her office offers this diet after she encountered a colleague who had lost and kept off a substantial amount of weight. She decided she wanted to lose weight as well and decided to try it herself. After losing 20 pounds in 2 months and keeping it off ( I hadn't seen her since April, and it was the end of November, she was still skinny and had the weight off). I thought it sounded interesting and decided to think about it over Thanksgiving.
Went home for the holidays, realized that while i like all the food, I didn't like that I couldn't put a t-shirt on with jeans without my ''muffin top" overflowing over my jeans. (you know, the love handles that go all around your waist basically). I was so sad, I had lost this weight once before, with a trainer and very restrictive diet. Gained it all back and then some as I thought it would just stay off now that I was skinny. (HAHA! no!) I had gotten close once after that on my own, less tummy but not nearly has much progress. Then gained that back. Now, back at my highest weight, I try, try again. I am not a 'serial' dieter like some women, but have had my share of attempts to say I qualify as unsuccessful.
So, here I am, into this new process with full hope and aspirations of really getting to where I want to be, feel great and look like it too! I cannot, *repeat* CANNOT wait until I can finally wear my 'normal' size clothes and no longer have to hide a belly or squeeze my thighs into my jeans again!
My beginning stats:
Weight: 155
Height: 5'5" 1/2
Waist: 31''
Arms: 13" (all fat, no muscle currently)
Chest: 36"
Hips: 42''
Thigh: 22''
I will be blogging my day by day experience, in the beginning at least, as this will be the most change to my routine. After I start to see results, will post the updates as they happen.
Thanks for checking it out, I wasn't able to find much on the web about this one, but trust my chiro's experience, along with her staff.
